Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to pack?

  • Wet weather gear

  • Warm clothing – layering works best

  • Shoes suitable for climbing the mast

  • Hat

  • Camera

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Smile and sense of adventure

Smoking is permitted on deck in one area designated by the captain. Coral Trekker is a timber ship, and smoking below decks is strictly forbidden.

The ship is covered and will sail in wet weather – tickets will not be refunded due to rain. Bring wet weather gear if it looks like rain; it is all part of the adventure.

If weather conditions or other factors cause the Master to cancel the sail, a rain check for another voyage will be issued. No refunds will be made.

There are two main car parks nearby:

  • The Clocktower car park, 55 Harrington Street, The Rocks, NSW, 2000.

  • The Amora Hotel car park, 11 Jamison Street, The Rocks, NSW, 2000.

There is no allocated seating on the ship. However, you are welcome to move around the ship and sit where you please.

The Operator only caters for vegetarian and gluten-free—strictly no BYO.

Approximately half of this trip's time is outside the Harbour confines, so the vessel will be in the ocean swell. Therefore, the motion of the vessel may cause seasickness, and all passengers should be sure-footed and dress accordingly.

Most people do not experience seasickness, but as a precaution, it's suggested that you eat a light meal before your trip and take motion sickness tablets 30 minutes before joining, just in case.

All sails are limited to 80 passengers (adults and children combined).
